Donegal Athletic Board Open Meeting.

An Open Meeting is to be held at the Finn Valley Centre, Stranorlar on Thursday 20th May.

Due to the large numbers that attended the Children's Games, and with the addition of two age groups to this programme, we will start the events at 6.15pm.

Officials -- For the Children's Games, only two clubs came back to me with the names of officials that they could provide on the evening. To run this event off smoothly, we require approximately 22 officials and it makes no sense organisationally to be running around looking for people on the evening. Please identify in advance, at least two people in your club (coaches or parents) who will be in a position to help out on the evening - please let me know these names by Wednesday 19th May.

Clubs should appoint also one person to collect monies and to complete the athlete declaration list - let athletes know at training who they should go to next Thursday.

Field Events -- From experience, the field events take up the most time and can run on long after the track programme has been complete. With this in mind, clubs that have athletes entered for the Ulsters on the 29th May should consider limiting those athletes to only the field events in which they will participate on the 29th.
