Mc Laughlin Wins Irish Schools Title

Glorious weather Shawn at the Irish Schools in Tullamore, with this brought numerous record and fantastic competition. Pauric Mc Laughlin St Eunan's having a fantastic run to come home a clear winner in the Steeple Chase by 5sec. Pauric's had work and persistence in the lead up to the championships a tribute to his determination to succeed. Rebecca Ward Royal and Prior winning a Bronze with a jump of 5.23 in the Long Jump, Rebecca younger sisters of Ian renowned for her running, dawning her jumping spikes to compete the long jump testimony of her talent to cover many events. Mark Bonar had a disappointing run in the Intermediate Boys Steeple Chase, his first time running the event Mark's hurdling technique letting him down but with some persistence and hard training he will conquer this event. Michael Penrose Holy Cross Strabane just missing out in the medals, finishing fourth Michael will be disappointed.
In the Women's mini Marathon in Dublin Kay Byrne once again taking to the streets to participate in the largest women's only race in the world, with up to 40 thousand women and a few that would like to be women for the day dawned the blistering heat in and around the streets of Dublin. Kay having a great run winning her category V-3 with a time of 39.50. Rosemary Ryan winning the race in a time of 34.34, Catriona Jennings battled in the early stages with Rosemary but the extreme heat eventually draining Catriona, eventually finishing 5th in a time of 36.24. Rosmary Bogle having a good run to finish 3rd in the 0-45 catogary.
